Andrew Newstead's Sport & Soft Tissue Therapy

F.A.Q'S
❓ Do I need to be an athlete to book a session?
Not at all. While I specialise in helping athletes, my treatments are suitable for anyone experiencing muscle tension, injuries, or movement issues. Whether you train regularly, play sports occasionally, or just want to move more comfortably, I can help.
❓ What should I expect from my first session?
In your first session, we’ll go through a short consultation to discuss your needs, history, and goals. I’ll then assess your movement where needed and deliver a treatment tailored specifically for you. Every session ends with advice on recovery and how to keep progressing.
❓ What do I need to prepare for a home visit?
Just enough space for a treatment table (roughly the size of a yoga mat area). I bring all the necessary equipment, so all you need is comfortable clothing and a space where you can relax.
❓ How long is a session?
Sessions usually last 60 minutes. Unless it is an initial consultation for injury or chronic pain in which case session will be 90 minutes.
Home visits are also 90 minutes.
❓ Will treatment be painful?
Some techniques, especially in sports massage or injury rehab, can feel intense. But I always work within your comfort levels, and treatment should never feel unbearable. The goal is to reduce pain, not add to it!
❓ How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your goals and condition. Some people benefit from a one-off treatment, while others book regular sessions to support training and recovery. After your first appointment, I’ll give you a clear plan tailored to you.
